I am very happy to return to my original job of teaching KukTuKi Taekwondo. It will be starting June 1st, 2016! When I opened my first academic KukTuKi Taekwondo School in Tacoma Washington many American students enjoyed and attended my class. But Korean parents and students questioned “What is KukTuKi in Taekwondo?” giggling, and I responded by saying “This was taught for future MMA experience.” I know why it was questioned as I was not surprised because this was mainly taught as a sport for fun. At the time I was teaching MMA Taekwondo as hand-to-hand combat, throwing, choking, and etc. If you look at it now many people are starting and always have been teaching this way as well. We are all Warriors! Taekwondo tradition is a combat military martial art and used to protect the family, nation, and the peace. Finally, the reason I teach is because the techniques I learned from my master is what I want to pass onto my students and to the future generation because that is what is necessary.
